Narration Recorder Not Working

Has anybody had to deal with the Record Narration tool not working.  Mine launches but the only button that works is the Save&Close button which takes me back to the Articulate tab in Powerpoint. I can record fine in Powerpoint or any other application. I am running Articulate from my hard drive and my presentation is saved to my hard drive (not a network drive.) Sync Animations (won't even recognize the animations in the ppt) and Add Annotations also do not work. I had this problem with the trial version, but thought it would resolve when I spent the $1400.
