Need ideas to create an interactive Interview scenario

Apr 12, 2011

Hi all,

I am building one soft skills course, and have to show a conversation between 2 people, which is an interview scenario. Has anyone of you built something similar?

Please share your ideas to implement the same.

Waiting for the help ASAP.

Regards

Udit

Poornima, I love your creativity! Really neat use of characters in that example!

Udit, the course featured in this blog post might interest you too. In it, the course author uses hyperlinks to help the learner "interview" a patient to form a correct diagnosis. Each hyperlink takes the learner to a separate (but very similar) slide in which the interviewee answers the question. Though the featured course uses animated characters which have been inserted as SWF movies, you could easily create a very similar effect with still images and narration or chat bubbles. (There are quite a few free chat bubbles in the Downloads section here.)

In response to the interview soft skills question, I've built something similar (pharmaceutical sales). We used branching scenarios with two or three outcomes: the best sale is made, a lower level sale is made, no sale is made. We presented a side-by-side dialog over a couple of screens, then a decision point that was branched. There were three-five decision points with the learner selecting from a short list of sales materials or information to use. These scenarios helped sales people present the product appropriately, discuss key information from trials, and respond well to physician questions.
