On click animations in presenter are changed from on click to animate in every 5 seconds, to create on click animations you will need to use hyperlinks and split your slide over more than one slides
Actually they don't even seem to work as delayed animations either. I had set mine from 5 seconds to 10 seconds and nothing happened at all regardless of how long you wait.
