Outlook not sending emails with an Articulate published file as an attachment

Sep 20, 2016

We have tried several times to send a published Articulate presenter file as an attachment in an email in Outlook.  The size of the file is well below the limit.  We don't receive any message that the email did not go through.  The sent email in is the Sent box.  No one receives the email or any notification that an attachment was stripped from an email.  Is there something in the Articulate file that would cause a possible security issue?

Hi Susan,

That would depend on your email environment and server - there are a number of files included from SWF to .html files so I'd look first at your published output and see all the different file types and see if your IT team can help you isolate out any problematic files and what they'll be able to do in terms of allowlist those.

If you're looking to share the published copy with folks so that they can take a look at it before uploading to your live environment you may also want to take a look at the information here and use one of those options.
