Passing values to a link within Articulate Presenter

Sep 17, 2014

Hi everyone!

I'm an IT manager for a small company, and I have written a simple portal using ASP (many of our clients are high-security organisations that block third-party applications and cookies). It uses our SQL client database to provide resources that we assign - some of which are eLearning modules created with Articulate Presenter 13.

Our problem is that we would like to provide a link to a feedback questionnaire, and I'm struggling to pass through parameters from the REQUEST to the embedded Articulate link for the feedback questionnaire - is there a safe method to do this?

The link looks like this with simple encryption on the users ID (don't need to know users ID in Articulate, but I will need this unmodified in the feedback questionnaire):

?crypt=u%A2%CC%D1%A7%82%A2%92%92ex&xpiID=72&topic=1.1%20-%20Project%20management

I'd be happy to pass "as is" into the link. Is there a method in Articulate Presenter to do this easily? In the past I have modified the presentation.html to be a dynamic page so that I can track resource usage and ensure the user is logged on. I have read that it is possible using JavaScript to grab the REQUEST variables:

I'm just wondering what the syntax would be within Articulate Presenter for the links?

Thanks in advance.
