Permissions issue with Articulate - launching Toolbook quiz
Jun 06, 2012
Hi,
We don't have an LMS proper, and have a custom system. Currently, we can only use Toolbook to record training history in our system. We are using Articulate Presenter for some modules - for the content portion only, then we have a link to a Toolbook quiz - as we don't have custom coding setup for Articulate to record in our system.
We have a few users who have gotten a Windows Internet Explorer "permission" error. These users can launch Toolbook modules (alone), just fine - but they are not launching from Articulate. Do you have any ideas on these errors? I would like to figure this out as we are starting to use more Articulate modules for content. Thanks for any help!

Hi Margie!
Would it be possible for you to submit a case, and when prompted, try to replicate and record a screencast of what you're describing? It would also be helpful to know any kind of specific similarities between the users experiencing the issue and what kind of system/software they're using. Thanks, and someone will be in touch with you shortly!
Hi Peter,
Thanks so much for your response. I'll definitely submit a cast - I'm not sure what you mean by screencast. The best I can do is a screencapture (image) that I have from one of the users. I can't replicate it myself. They are running Windows XP professional (as am I) and IE 8.
OK, thanks for the additional info, Margie. Let me know after you get a case number and I'll be happy to keep an eye on it and make sure you get this resolved. Thanks!
Hi Peter,
I think (?) I just sent you the case. (It didn't give me a screen that said "you sent it" - it just went back to the "submit case" screen) I screencasted my image of the error. I also don't have the Articulate project file, as my co-worker did that. I could get that to you on Friday, if you need it. I will be out of the office tomorrow, returning Friday.
Thanks for your help!
