Pixelated Movie from Video Encoder

Aug 03, 2011

Hello,

I am toying with Video Encoder.  I created a video with a watermark.  Both the watermark image and the video are real pixelated.

Is anybody out there familiar with a setting I can change to help with this?

Attached is a screenshot as an example...

Many thanks!

Hi Dave,

Did the suggestions from our support team resolve the issue?

"I would recommend that you re-encode your video and make sure you adjust the

encoding settings to ensure the best possible quality of the encoded video.

In Articulate Video Encoder, import your video and then click on Publish.

In the Publish window, click on customize. Increase the bitrate setting and

then change the encoding method to VBR 2 passes. "

Hi Dave,

It really depends upon the end-user's internet connection.  The file has basically gone from a 1/4 MB to 1MB.  Most websites will load between 800kb and 1.4MB on the initial load.  So, comparatively speaking, it's not a huge increase.  However, if all of your users are rocking 56k modems, then they'll have issues.
