In publishing a course, the player setting seem to have 2 options: one, is launching in a new window. Two, is having it open with a "Launch" side bar on the right hand side. Is there a way to minimize or remove the Launch side area? I publish and preview using the Presentation.html link in the file and it looks great. I upload it to the LMS and it is small and has 1/3 increased right hand boarder for the Launch Info. Looks terrible. Any suggestions?
FYI: The Launch in new window creates it's own set of issues.

All the player launch options built into Presenter are detailed here. Perhaps this side bar is a part of your LMS? You could confirm that by testing the LMS published output at SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard for testing SCORM content.
