Player Settings Not Saved, Network
Nov 21, 2013
Hi All,
In Studio '13...
1) Open course, change player settings such as remove elapsed time, remove presenter, add logo. Click "OK" on player settings. Save PPTX. Exit.
Then, over the Windows 7 peer-to-peer networking
2) Open exact same course, player settings are not saved.
In fact, whatever player settings I configure on one computer stays in place when I pull up the PPTX from that computer. And whatever player settings I configure on the other computer stays in place when I pull up the PPTX from that other computer.
Is there some way of pulling up a course over the network and making player setting changes and have those player settings "stick" so that when I open it up on the original computer the correct settings are in place?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Keith,
We don't recommend working off of a network or shared drive, as it can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. If your project files are currently on a network drive, copy them to your local hard drive. Then continue editing and publishing. Also, if you need to share a project file between a computers or users, we'd suggest following the guidelines here to create a Presenter package and place that on your network drive. Ensure that you save it to the local hard drive and fully extract it before opening the presentation.
Unfortunately, it is imperative that I work over a network. If anyone out there has any suggestions/hints, please pass them along. Thanks in advance.
