Player tabs not showing

Mar 12, 2014

Hello everyone!

In my attempt to discover and to quickly learn the internals of this great presentation system, I, too, have come to a stall.

I have a 45 slides Presenter file into which are inserted Engage Interactions, Quizzes and two Player tabs.

The Engage Interactions and the Quizzes work as expected but the Player tabs not so nicely!

Starting from scratch and after inserting the Tabs, I activate both of them (check boxes) in the Player settings so that in principle they should appear on the Top Left bar. So far so good! The tabs do show up in the Preview pane and I'm filled with joy!

Then I click OK and exit Player settings. It is my hope then that  the Tabs will be shown on the slides in Preview mode but it isn't the case. The Tabs are missing in action!

I go back to the Player settings only to discover that the check boxes for both my tabs are no longer selected! What happened here? The plot thickens... I repeat the same motion as detailed above over and over again to no avail; removing the tabs, starting from scratch, reinserting my Player theme (skin)... but none of if has a direct impact and the Tabs are nowhere to be found on the Top left bar.

Am I going crazy? Is this a bug that should have been fixed in release 2 but wasn't? Am I missing a step somewhere?

If anyone has experienced the same or has serious insight into applying a solution or possess a step by step approach to troubleshooting this issue... well, you will be considered as new friend if you please!  Meanwhile, I will try again and again. Perhaps I would be more successful inserting one tab at a time to see if that would make a difference! Inserting more than one tab might be an issue... I hope not!

Thanks everyone!

Hi Leslie! It seems for now that the problem was only with that course. My co-worker has Articulate 13 without the Update 2 and it works fine in hers.I have since successfully converted another course inserting quizzes, interactions and the same two tabs I was having trouble with. So, just for now, lets assume it is resolved until I come across the same problem. I have 14 courses to handle! Fun!Thank you and have a great day!Patrick
