Player View for Quizmaker Slides

Jun 05, 2014

In previous versions of Presenter, I was able to set the player so that when a Quizmaker quiz slide came up the player would go to full screen (without the menu/notes) and then would return to the menu/notes player format one the quiz was completed.  I can't seem to figure out how to get this same effect with Storyline or Presenter 13.  Anyone have any advice?

Leslie,  I set my player to display a presenter then I set the first slide to display the presenter in the slide properties and all the other slides to none.  When I do the preview, it works like I want, only the first slide has the presenter.  But when I publish the presentation in Presenter, the published slides all have the presenter visible.  Any suggestions?

Hi Richard,

It sounds like you're using the proper options for this, but it may be related to how you're viewing the published project. Are you viewing the published output files locally, or are you uploading to a web server or LMS?

If you're viewing your published files locally, this may be the problem. If you view a published Studio '13 or '09 presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the article below for more information:

Tips for Managing Project Files

  • I suggest using SCORM Cloud for your course - it's a great place to test SCORM content.
  • Another option would be to use our Tempshare server. Just keep in mind that this server is only available for testing content - it is not officially supported by Articulate and all content will be removed automatically after 10 days.
  • You're always welcome to try out Articulate Online, as well - it's available for a free 30 day trial.

If you are viewing the content from a server and still seeing the Presenter enabled for each slide, please consider sharing an Articulate Package of your project with us here. Please just keep in mind that the maximum file size for the forums is 20 MB. If your project is larger than that, just let us know.

Thanks!

I am publishing to lms and uploading to a server for use in with Moodle.  I am also publishing to web and uploading to my server for use on iPads since Moodle requires user to authenticate with a username and password.  Both appear to woke correctly when I preview them in Presenter but the presenter box shows on all slides in both published shows instead of just the selected slides.
