There is no longer a way to back up Presenter Project Files since the "Send to Articulate Package" feature no longer exists together with all the other components on that panel. The panel used to be accessible by clicking on the Office button. This no longer exists in Power Point 2010.

In PowerPoint 2010, click File -> Save and Send -> Articulate Package.
