For some strange reason, the ribbon on my PPT 2010 does not stay visible but only appears when a tab is selected. Performing multiple commands or formats is becoming tedious. I did not knowingly change any settings but who knows the evil in the hearts of computers. How can I restore the ribbon so that it stays visable?
There is surely evil in the hearts of computers, but in this case, it sounds like you may have just accidentally minimized your ribbon. You can restore it simply by clicking the icon in the top right of your PowerPoint window:

Peter, thank you... Just like Microsoft to hide something in plain sight. By accident, I also found out that Control and F1 toggles the ribbon also.
