Powerpoint animation sound removed in Articulate recording

Mar 10, 2011

I have a simple slide with animation where a cloud moves onto the screen with a sound effect (thunder). When I record my narration in Articulate and then sync animations, it plays back with the thunder sound. However, when I save, return to lesson, and preview it, the thunder sound does not play.

Any ideas?

Thanks Gabe.

I just played the sound effect on my speakers when I was recording and it sounds ok.

Might have a much bigger navigation issue on my hands - hopefully not.

Here is a screenshot of the navigation - http://screencast.com/t/civuv9dbRF

I have hyperlinked each cloud to the corresponding screen/slide and set the slide property to 'by user'. However, when I preview it the links do not work. You can also see that I have a sign to Design Strategies that should skip the overview material and jump several slides forward to the larger navigation... http://screencast.com/t/YZ7hGYsM

In both cases I want the user to be able to explore the different screens/slides, not go in a linear fashion.

I greatly appreciate your help!

Thanks guys!

Its pretty complex for my first one, but I need/want an impressive one for my portfolio. I'll share when its done, which it almost is. Since we learn from encountering challenges/difficulties and finding solutions, I feel like I've learned a lot about Articulate. It would not have been possible without all the AMAZING online support you guys provide through the various blogs and forums.  Makes all the difference in the world. I certainly do appreciate it and will now recommend Articulate even more bcs of this.
