PowerPoint Animations Lagging

Feb 28, 2013

I am having an issue when I try to "preview" my presentation, the powerpoint animations I have added seem to lag. I have them set to start "on click" and they look fine when I preview them in PowerPoint, but when I preview using Articulate, there is about a 4-5 second lag between clicking "next slide" and th animaitons on the PowerPoint slides starting. Is this common? Will it be fixed once I publish (I haven't actually published it yet)? Any advice from you guys would be helpful, thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply! I am really new to this software, so I'm still trying to figure out what it does. I am not using the sync tool as I thought that was only used to add narration to the presentation. Is this also used for ppt animations?

In the mean time, I am having someone else in my company publish the presentation for me to see if that fixes the problem.

yes it is. you set up the animation actions in the animation pane, and set all to On CLick. Then use the Synch tool to play the slide. Every click will run the next animation in sequence.

After you synch them with the tool, you can open the audio editor and all of the clicks you did will be shown as markers in the slides.

After saying that, I don't use it. I use the animation pane to do all my synching and timing. I don't recall seeing the issue you are having using that method though.
