Powerpoint Video

I;ve been using Articulate for a couple of years, and the forums have answered all my questions to date. Is this possible: I want to add a videoto a slide in PP, because there is text and audio, and after tghat, I want a video to play in a 2.5 X 3.5 section of the slide, because PP has an option to play on click. Is there a workaround by inserting with Presenter to have the same function (start on click in the slide)??
Thanx

Hi Dean,
The on click-type trigger isn't available in Presenter, however, you can simulate the same type of effect by using hidden slides. Here's a tutorial on how you can create that effect:
Branching video scenarios
(this tutorial spans a couple pages, so take a look at the menu navigation on the right)
Thanx. Can't believe I didn't think of that.
However, when I publish then "View Presentation" locally works great. When I ftp it to my web server, and run it, the video doesn't play. The slide plays through, but the video doesn't show.
I published as a web version, if that matters, and the video file is in the data/swf folder. Any ideas??
Thanx again
Hi Dean,
Glad that solution will work for you! Regarding your videos playing locally but not online, I'm guessing it has something to do with the MIME settings.
Here's a quick article on what that means and how to go about resolving it.
One way you can verify if your server is configured to play your movies is to try opening the videos directly from your web browser. If the movies play, we can rule out your server configuration.
Thanx again, I used an mp4 file before, when I converted it to flv it all worked fine.
