ppta files

Jul 02, 2012

Hello,

My PowerPoint presentation has 2 files; the .ppt files and the .ppta. I went in to publish the presentation and then 'veiwed' the presentation. There was no sound. I look into my folder and saw only those two files. So, I knew my audio files were fine because I did not see an 'old-ppta' file of any sort. I then went into 'audio editor' and my audio files are gone. What is going on? Where are my audio files if there is not 'old-ppta' files in my folder? All of the files where there a couple of days ago - today I go in to make changes to a slide, I republished only to find no sound and no audio files.

please tell me I did not lose my audio files... where could they be?

Hi Vivian!

Have you had a chance to review all the solutions in this article? Also, be sure that your presentation is located on your local hard drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB (external) drive can cause erratic behavior, including loss of resources. If you're still unable to locate your audio, please don't hesitate to contact our support team for more help. Thanks!

Hi Vivian,

OK, I'd go ahead and send us your files to see what we can do to help. Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:
