When you're annotating, you can choose how they'll display:
Show One: This option only lets one annotation display at at time. When an annotation appears on the slide, the previous annotation disappears.
Show All: This option lets multiple annotations remain on the slide at the same time.
Click Clear All at any time to remove all annotations that are currently displayed on the screen. (This won't delete any annotations. It'll simply hide them at the point in the narration when you clicked the button.)
How do I sync animations with audio on engage slides?
Also I am using power point 2010, but it often "stops working" when I am doing something is articulate, especially with audio - does anyone have any ideas on why or what I need to do to stop this from happening. I am using Articulate 13.
The problem is the annotation screen shows nothing - you click on the arrow and click on the screen - nothing appears - you Save and Close and then do a review - annotation shows where you added it. When you go back to edit the annotation the previous ones you added are not shown (they are still the - just not visible) - thus you have no idea what to edit or delete - makes it impossible to use.
When you mention it stops working, does Presenter free or you're just unable to add in new annotations? You may want to conduct a repair of your Studio 13 software.
Hi Ian,
To play back your annotations while in the edit screen you'll need to use the Play/pause buttons next to the Start/Stop annotations button.
Additionally, there's a known issue with Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.117 that prevents annotations from displaying correctly in Articulate Presenter '13. They may appear in the wrong order, or they may not show at all. Currently, the workaround is to downgrade your Flash Player to an earlier version. We'll post more information here as it becomes available.
I just purchased Articulate Studio and an having the same issue. Annotations do not show on the screen at the time of recording - all you see is a cross-hair. It make inclusing annotations basically impossible, as you are flying blind.
The "verified Answer" above should be removed, as does not resolve this issue.
Just wanted to add that a lot of people, including myself are having the same issue. Thank you Ashley for your advice but if we downgrade Flash Player, is it not going to affect other features of Studio? Not the most ideal option really.

Hi all,
Update 1 for Studio 13 was released yesterday, and one of the fixes included:
Also, Philip welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!
Hi Sophie,
In regards to the Flash player, Studio 13 requires Flash player 10 or later, so downgrading to the previous version should not cause other issues.
How timely :=)! Thanks for the update Ashley!
It was definitely a nice way to start the day!
Great - applied the update and all working fine now. Thanks
Thanks for the update Phillip
