"Presentation Complete" and blank player

Mar 15, 2013

Hello,

I'm a Web designer working on behalf of my client, Humane Alliance, who have created a number of Articulate presentations that I've posted on their website. They recently created a new presentation and exported it for Web. When I view the presentation from my local hard drive, it works fine; but when I upload it to the site and try to view it, I see a blank player that says "Slide 100 of 160 - Presentation Complete" at the bottom:

I've made sure that when I uploaded the files via FTP, my FTP client (Filezilla) was set to Binary mode. I also double-checked with the client to make sure that she exported for Web and not for LMS - she's sure that she exported it correctly.

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated!

Thanks -

Hi Anne,

One option that may help is to have her upload the content to the FTP directly from Presenter. That, or she could send you the Presenter presentation files in a Presenter Package and you can see if you're able to do this on your side. However, I'm not sure if you have access to Presenter. If you do, though, maybe this will work for you.

Have you been able to upload presentations to the web server from Presenter successfully in the past? If so, it may be an issue with the files. If not, it may possibly be due to the type of content the web server supports.

I know you already checked the binary settings, but you may also want to take a look at this thread:

I hope this helps, Anne. Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks!

Christine,

I just double-checked my Filezilla settings, and as it turns out, I had not clicked Save when I changed the upload setting from Auto to Binary. When I switched it to Binary for real and then uploaded again, the presentation started working as intended. Thanks so much for pointing me toward that other thread!
