Presenter '09 Trying to change course title IN COURSE ONLY

Jan 12, 2014

Hi,

I had been publishing  a course in various languages, and always have published so that the Published Title was in the current language.  This also displayed the course title in the current language within my course, which is what I wanted.

I am now being told by the LMS coordinator that the foreign characters are causing problems with the way the course runs in the LMS.

Is there a way to publish the course so the Published Title is in English (and hence the file/folder names), but at the same time have the title WITHIN the course display differently (in my case, in the foreign language du jour).

THanks,

Carol

Hi Carol,

Is it just the file name that's causing the problem or the actual characters within the project and title itself?

If it's the file name, you can rename the files without changing the title within the project.

For example, you could keep your title in the current language and publish. Find the files that contain your published output. The only file that should have a custom file name is the initial folder created. You can rename this folder without modifying your title.

Your LMS should be able to upload that file, now in English.

However, if it's due to non-English characters within the course, that's a bit odd and I'm afraid the LMS will need to look into an internal solution or provide some suggestions for keeping your content in the language you need to use.
