Presenter Course Takes Hours to Publish

Jul 30, 2015

My Articulate Presenter Course has taken hours to publish, and I don't know what is causing it.

In PowerPoint, I converted a 55 page PDF (with only text) to a PowerPoint slideshow.  This is an employee manual, so I want the employees to read through it and take the acknowledgement quiz at the end.  I deleted everything in the slides except for the text.  There is nothing in the Slide Master.  The dimensions of the slides are 8.5" x 11".  There is nothing really unusual about the course, but it has taken around 8 hours to publish.  All other courses I've published take about 5 minutes at the most.  I have updated to the most updated Articulate Presenter version.

Does anybody have an idea what might be causing this extreme publish time?

Hi, Grant, and welcome to the community! :)

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing, but there are a few things we can check first to rule out the causes of some common issues. Do you know what the total file size is? I have seen really large files take a bit longer to publish, but I can't say that I have heard of a course taking 8 hours to publish, especially if there are not really long video files or a great number of them being used. Please confirm that you are working locally, and also see this information on Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in Articulate Studio '13, as well as How to Repair Articulate Studio '13

Please let me know if that helps, and you are welcome to attach your file here or a sample so that we can take a look if issues persist.
