Presenter damages all slides

I could go on about how much work I've lost but...
Today I noticed Presenter seemed to be twice as long (40 minutes) to publish what usually took about 20 minutes. Somehow, Presenter has duplicated the slide title on every slide as a 0x0px entity such that the title appears vertical, in addition to the normal, horizontal title. There are other duplications, and I worry that there is an underlying root problem such that deleting the duplications would not resolve the issue for even the short term.
What I'd like to know is has anyone else experienced this anomaly and are the circumstances that generate the problem known? (I'd like to avoid them next time.)
Thanks,

I haven't seen that before. If you want us to take a look feel free to send us your project files by following the instructions here:

Do you have more than one PPT file open when publishing? And/or are you switching between them during publishing?
I have seen the issue of when publishing one file (PPT-1), i had inadvertently shift-tab'ed to the other one (PPT-2). This caused the master slides from PPT -2 to become the master slides of PPT-1. talk about wacky!!
What font are you using for the title, and have you applied any "effects" to it?

My last backup shows I didn't lose as much work as I had thought. I've published the backup, no problem found.
No special fonts, or effects. No publishing with other ppt's open. I really don't have any idea what was up that might have caused the problem. If it happens again, I'll post back.
Thank you all for your feedback.
