When I try opening Presenter it says there is no powerpoint program running. Presenter is clearly 32 bit and in a (x86)file, while ppt is in the 64bit file. Help.
Phil's right. Microsoft released a 32-bit and a 64-bit version of Office 2010. Microsoft recommends installing the 32-bit version. Articulate Presenter '09 will only work with the 32-bit version. Presenter '09 also will not work with the Click To Run version of PowerPoint 2010. For more information, please review the following article:
Thank you, gentlemen. Is there any plan to do a 64 bit version, Peter? I love the product but am hesitant to uninstall the 64 bit MS Office unless really necessary. Been there, done that.
Understandable. We are hard at work on some exciting new things which we are looking forward to sharing with the world, just not right now. If you would like to be the first to know about updates and product releases, I would encourage you to subscribe to Gabe Anderson's blog: http://www.articulate.com/blog/
If you would like to be added to a list of potential beta testers, let me know and I'll be happy to add you to the list. We cannot offer a time frame for any feature enhancements or future release dates. Thanks for your support!
I finally bit the bullet just before the holidays and converted my 64 bit MS Office Professional to 32 bit. Although it became every bit the nightmare I had anticipated, it got done, and I was finally able to begin using the Articulate software--just as my trial date expired! I was barely able to get the first test put into the program and evaluate it.
I like it in general, but have some questions that I would like to work through before sinking a grand into the purchase. Is there anyway to get my trial extended for a few more days?
One question is--in creating assessment tests I have put different values to each answer, but am required to define one answer as "Correct." When a test taker reviews his/her answers each question is shown with the "correct" answer, when there really is no correct answer. This can be unnerving to the test taker to see. How do I resolve this? (I didn't see where using the survey would accomplish what I needed, or did I miss that?)
BTW, our entire business learning model is to develop DIY home/in office products for micro businesses. The Articulate Suite would be ideal for these products. I would like to be in the beta testing group, if possible.
I'd like to turn you over to the capable care of our awesome sales staff to answer your questions about the free trial. You can fill out a quick contact form and someone will be gladly to assist you. Here's the link:
And if you'd like to be considered for the Storyline beta, apply by sending us an email at beta@articulate.com and tell us why you’d be a great tester.
