Welcome to Heroes, Michael!

Are you using the 64-bit or Click to Run version of Office, by any chance? Microsoft released a 32-bit and a 64-bit version of Office 2010, but Articulate Presenter '09 will only work with the 32-bit version. Presenter '09 also will not work with the Click To Run version of PowerPoint 2010. For more information, please review the following article:

Hey Michael,

If you're still experiencing issues after running through our troubleshooters found here:

http://www.articulate.com/support/presenter09/kb/?p=1060

It is also recommended that you install the latest update for Presenter '09 to reduce the potential of this issue occurring in the future. You can download and install the latest update here:
If the issue persists, I'd recommend submitting a case to our support engineers, who will be happy to work with you to find a solution. You can do that here:

Michael,

I found this thread and wanted to ask you a quick question.  I've noticed on several occasions that when accessing the Slide Properties function (so I can enter things like the title for each slide, for example), it seems to do undesirable things.  For instance, it will freeze PowerPoint altogether, disengage my Articulate Presenter tab in PowerPoint altogether, and cause the same problem again, right after I re-engage Articulate in an attempt to 'fix' the problem.

The first few times this happened, I noticed that it only happened if I needed to keep the Slide Properties window open for an extended period of time.  (And by this I mean having a long list of slide titles that I wanted to enter in all at once.)  This seemed to cause Articulate and Presenter to freeze and crash.  When I re-open PowerPoint, the Articulate tab  has disappeared.  Once I found the necessary 'fixes' in posts like this one, I learned what to do and went on with my work.  As a result, I don't leave the Slide Properties window open for very long at all and I never enter a whole bunch of slide titles all at once so as to reduce the time the Slide Properties window needs to be open.

Now, however, I'm seeing the Slide Properties window crash Articulate and PowerPoint even if it's open for a very brief period of time, say less than 45 seconds.  To further exacerbate this problem, even after re-enabling Articulate so that the Articulate tap re-appears in PowerPoint, to re-open the Slide Properties window at all just crashes the program all over again.

Articulate never crashes unless I need to open the Slide Properties window.  My question is, is this an inherent, unresolved bug/error/issue with Articulate?  And, will Articulate address it by a downloadable update or something of that sort?

Thanks,

Joshua Kollaja

Also, it just occurred to ask if the crashing problem is only associated with the Slide Properties window?  This just happened this morning.  After re-enabling the Articulate tab and putting everything back in order with Articulate and PowerPoint, i went to synchronize some animations for a slide I've just created, PowerPoint and Articulate froze and crashed once again.

Thanks,

Joshua Kollaja
