Presenter Panel Photo Suddenly Not Showing Up When I Upload

Feb 08, 2011

Hello All,

I am a newbie and I am working on my first presentation in Studio "09.  Through various iterations of this course I have published multiple times and uploaded for a colleague to see, each time the presenter photo showed up fine, now on my final publish, it shows up exactly as intended on my local machine but when I post it on my website the photo doesn't show up.  One change I made prior to this problem happening, was I moved to a "slide level presenter" so that it would change on slides that had one of two different presenters.  The name, bio, and email info changes but the picture is now just a gray box.  Can anyone help me with how to fix this issue.

Hi Richard,

If your published Articulate Presenter output plays properly on your local computer, but won't load after you've uploaded it to your Web site, please review the knowledge base article(s) below for possible solutions:

Presenter '09:

Brian,

Thanks for your reply, I followed both suggestions in the kb article.  I first tried changing the settings in my FTP Client to binary, I reuploaded and same result.....then I republished with Articulate and viewed local works fine, and used the Articulate FTP client to upload and still same result......any other suggestions.   Here is a link to the one I most recently uploaded.  http:www.noicoach.com/Fair_Housing_Sample/player.html

Thanks

I am using two different presenters and i will attach both of the files.   Just an FYI these images have shown up multiple times prior to this change.  I really started geting the problem when I chose you use "slide level presenters" and I also did some other slide property changes such as views for different slides changing from "no sidebar" to "standard".

Hi Richard,

Thanks for uploading the file.  Would you mind submitting a support case to us so that we can take a closer look at the issue?  Please submit the case by using the method below:

Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Brian,

I uploaded and haven't heard anything back yet, did you guys receive the file?

Rich

Hi Rich,

When you uploaded the file, you should have received a confirmation email back stating that the case has been submitted.  If you received that, let me know the case number and I'll look into it.  If you didn't receive confirmation, please upload it again & let me know when it's uploaded.  I'll check the back-end and verify that we received it.

I am having an issue which may be similar.  I was the original presenter on all slides.  Since then I have other presenters I would like to sprinkle throughout the presentation.  Even though I have created the profiles, and make the changes at the slide level I still only see my profile in all previews.

Do you have any suggestions I might try?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Penny! :)

Does the same thing happen after you publish? When you publish your presentation, you'll want to make sure that you select the option to use slide-level presenters.

It should look something like this:

If you haven't already, please try publishing using that option and see if the presenters show up properly in the published project.

Thanks!
