Presenter - PowerPoint Issues

Oct 18, 2019

Hello everyone!

I just started using Presenter 360 with PowerPoint '16, and I ran into a bit of an issue. Maybe I'm missing something, or I'm doing something wrong, but when I open the .ppta file, the interactions I added via Engage aren't displayed: instead, there's a "placeholder" slide with settings for each interaction. And I've tried to open the presentation as an application (.exe file), but the text in the slides doesn't appear.

I added animation to the text, and I suspect that's the reason why I'm having these issues. But could it be something else?

I'll attach both the .ppta and .exe files, and I'd highly appreciate it if anyone can take a look at them.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Alejandro and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

Thanks for reaching out and describing the issue you are running into with your project.

Do you have the .ppt or .pptx file to open withing Powerpoint?

Here is some documentation to understand how the .ppta file works with your Presenter 360 project. Taking a look at the Articulate Package, as that link mentions is the best method for taking a look.

Yay! Glad you were able to track that down Alejandro.

I'm not sure if your project just got disconnected somehow, which can happen if you move files around.

You should still have the original Engage and Quizmaker files saved somewhere. If you click the button on the slide placeholders in Presenter to Edit in Engage and/or Edit in Quizmaker, you can navigate to the original file and all of the links should then be correct for your Articulate Package and/or published output.
