Presenter will not publish

Jan 29, 2014

Hello,

This is the first time I am using Presenter 13 and when I trie to either preview or publish my course I receive an error message (attached). Has anyone else ran into this problem? How can it be fixed?

Thank you.

Hi Quesia and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Presenter '13 courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. See this article for more information.

If this can help anyone else, this was what Customer Support suggested and it worked for me.

You may find that Articulate Presenter crashes when you're previewing or publishing a presentation that includes a chart. This is a known issue. See this article for more information and a solution:

http://www.articulate.com/support/presenter-13/articulate-presenter-crashes-when-a-course-includes-a-chart

The slides with Chart objects on your presentation are slides 59, 60, 61, 62 and 84. If you convert them to images as per article above, the content will publish successfully.

I am trying to upload my first presenter course that has a quizmaker quiz in it, to Articulate online. I have published locally for manual upload but keep getting error message when I try to publish, saying "You may only upload Storyline, Presenter, Quizmaker, and Engage packages." The file is Presenter I think- attached. Please can you advise?

Greetings, Gillian. Thanks for these extra clues!

I shared these details with Christopher in your case so we can track everything in one place.

Have you had a chance to check out his reply from yesterday from support@articulate.com with some quick clarifying questions and the next steps?

Be sure to let him know, and I'll follow along!
