Preview no longer works

I cannot get Preview to work in either Presenter or Quizmaker. It used to work, but no longer.
If I select preview it goes through the usual routine of preparing to preview, but then it comes to a halt at the end, and there is just a screen with nothing playing.
I can publish the whole presentation, and then click view presentation, but that is very time consuming. Is there a fix to this?

Adobe and Microsoft released information that Windows 7, Vista and Windows 10 have been updated.
Follow the directions in the article above for your version of Windows to install the latest update.
We're waiting for additional information in regards to Windows 8.
