Preview problems in Powerpoint 2010/2007

Feb 07, 2011

Ok, so training a new person and he created some content, and I couldn't preview it in Powerpoint 2007 or 2010.  he is using 2010 and it previews fine.  When I try, I get the Articulate loading bar, then it just hangs there.  If I remove certain animations (Shape animation, I don't see it mentioned in the supported animations list) it works, but on certain ones with it, it works others it doesnt.

Anyone got any insight on this weird bug?

Hi Hugh,

I got that same issue when our company first upgraded us all to PPT 2007 from 2003, when I had some SmartArt within a slide. From what I can remember, I saved the presenation as another filename, then re-booted my machine, and then it worked ok after that.

Not sure that will help you, but definitely remember getting the same issue, and it 'going away' after a a few loads and saves. Strange. Never got it again though.

Take care,

Barry
