Previewing Content From The Presenter Output Folder

Jan 25, 2017

I have been using Articulate Presenter for years and I've always been able to preview the actual presentation from the "Presenter Output" folder.

I would simply open the folder and select the "presentation.html" file (4th from the bottom in the attached screenshot).

This has been a great way for me to get the content reviewed prior to posting the course onto our LMS.

I can no longer view the presentation in this way.  It's not only the "new" presentations; I have tried to open previously created presentations and I cannot get those to play as they had in the past.

I have a presentation to deliver to a room of Managers and will not have access to the internet, but I'd like to demonstrate the course to them so that they can see the possibilities of Articulate Presenter on their Training Programs.  I had planned on simply taking a copy of the "Presenter Output" folder and playing the course from there...

Any assistance on how I can regain this function would be greatly appreciated...

Hi there Steven,

Viewing published content on your local hard drive or a network drive can cause various features in your content to fail due to security restrictions in these environments. Instead, host your content in the location for which it was published.

If you would like to publish the content to be viewed offline, I'd recommend publishing for CD. This publishing option will create a folder that contains several sub-folders and files, which are all necessary for your course to play properly. The file that launches the course  is Launch_Presentation.exe.
