Problems Packaging in Presenter

Sep 30, 2015

First, this is a great forum.  Thank you for making such a great venue for developers to post and resolve their issues.

I'm having trouble getting Presenter to create a package:

  1. In Powerpoint, I click Save and Send
  2. Then click Articulate Package and follow the prompts.
  3. But in the end, I always get stuck on the progress bar.  See attachment.

I've tried rebooting . . . nada.

I've also tried uninstalling and completely re-installing.  Same result...nothing.

Does anyone have suggestions?

I've searched your database and couldn't find a solution to my issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Ron -- So sorry to hear you are having issues here, but we will see what we can do to get you moving in the right direction!

First, can you please confirm that you are working locally? If you happen to be working on a network drive, you could encounter a variety of Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in Articulate Studio '13. And it sounds like you may have already run through these steps for How to Repair Articulate Studio '13, but you may want to check them out once more to be sure.

Please let me know if that does the trick, or if you still need additional assistance. :)

Christie:

The links in your post reminded me to check if I was running PPT and Presenter as an administrator. And, lo and behold, I was not.  When I changed the settings for both programs to Run As Administrator, it fixed my issue.  Thank you!

For those who need to know, here's how to do that.

  1. Click the Windows Start button in the lower left (this may not work if you use the desktop icon, so be sure and click the Start button)
  2. Find your Powerpoint Icon.
  3. Right click the PowerPoint icon and select Properties.
  4. Select the Compatibility tab.
  5. Check the Run as an Administrator checkbox.  See picture below.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Repeat the process for the Articulate Presenter icon.

That's it.  Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
