Problems with Hyperlinks

Dec 05, 2011

I have a package which contains a number of Hyperlinks to other sides in the same presentation.

Each hyperlink is a transparent rectangle placed over the area to be selected, the hyperlink has been set to the Slide number of the slide that it needs to link to.

When I published a copy of this package for the customer to preview the hyperlinks worked fine.  I have now added the Audio track and started final testing, only to find that none of the hyperlinks now work.

The only thing that I can think might have changed is that many of the slides are now 'Hidden' in the Navigation Panel.

Could this cause the problem I am experiencing?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Phil

My shapes were set to no fill & no line... I have just amended them to 99% transparent (fill & line) and done a Preview but the hyperlinks still don't work.

In PowerPoint when I run a slideshow the links work ok, so I know that I have the correct slide numbers set for each hyperlink... Do you have any other suggestions?

hyperlinks dont work correctly in preview, but they should at least mouseover (the cursor changes to a hand) if you had no fill and have added a fill you should be able to set it to 100% transparent, no need for a line/stroke.

Check the hyperlinks mouseover in preview, also make sure the shapes are at the front, do you have a ny falsh or web objects on the slide

Can you post the ppt file?
