Publish a Course to MP4

May 28, 2015

Hello!

I was wondering if it will ever be a possibility to publish a course as an MP4? We have several clients that request it - and all we can provide is a screen capture of the recording (which effects the quality). I understand you would loose the functionality of all exercises and the menu; but it would be a great option to add.

Thanks!

Hi Sarah,

There isn't a publish to MP4 or single SWF file for example, but we did add a  feature within Presenter '13 to export your course narration to a single MP3 file that can be played on smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices. See this tutorial for details

You could also publish a copy of it for web, and then record the published output with a tool such as Replay which does publish to MP4.

How much quality are you attempting to recover. A program like Camtasia would allow you to record your screen, I believe at live size, while someone goes through the course. You could take the video from Camtasia, run it through a program like Adobe Premiere or After Effects, and get an exceptionally high-quality Mp4.
