Publishing 55 Slides

Jul 06, 2011

Hi!

I am trying to publish a course and it has a total of 55 slides. Articulate Presenter keeps freezing, stopping, and crashing once it reaches the slide number around 45. I published the first half of the course and the second half of the course separately (27 and 32 slides respectively) and it worked fine. Is there anything that I can do to be able to publish the course all together successfully?

I appreciate your insight!
Thank you,
Kate

Hi Kate - Do you have a lot of text on slide 45 by any chance? I've encountered this same thing when publishing text heavy slides. Another thing that hangs Articulate is Smart Art. The only way I could get around the issue of the slide with too much text was to split the content over 2 slides. For the Smart Art,  I saved the art as a picture, then deleted the Smart Art form PowerPoint and imported the picture.

Hi Kate and welcome to Heroes! I would take a look at this article and see if it helps:

If you continue to have difficulty, I would suggest you send us your project files so we can take a closer look. Instructions on how to do that can be found here:

Thank you, Nancy and Justin!

I tried the steps in the article, but the course still did not publish. I realized that we put page numbers on the bottom of each slide as individual buttons, which added up to a lot of objects in the entire presentation. When I took out the page numbers, the course published fine! So I am guessing that the amount of objects in the entire presentation were too many and therefore took the course too long to publish and eventually just time out? So I am guessing the best way to fix that is by saving the individual objects together as one picture on each slide.

Thank you for your help!

Sincerely,
Kate
