The published output for some my files that have the same background have bullets missing. Random slides are published with no bullets. I tried recreating the master slide, but did not work. I opened a new ppt and copy and pasted the info, still it did not work. Instead of copying the content, I typed some of the info and when I previewed it, it published with bullets. Is there any short-cut solution to this rather than having to type the info again?
I apologize, but I'm not sure I understand where the bullets are missing from and how the background contributes to this. Could you share a bit more information about the set up you have and where you're seeing this odd behavior (such as what version of Presenter you're using 09 vs. 13, where you're hosting the course, etc.). It may help to also share some screen shots here or other elements of your course that will help us see the issue you're describing.

I am using Articulate 13. I started getting these erros after update 3.
When I publish, some of the formatting such as bullets and numbers are lost. Compare below: the published output and my ppt file. It randomly happen for different files.
I'm experiencing the same issue. I have bullets disappearing on a slide in the HTML5 output. Are there any known work-arounds right now? I'm using Studio 13 update 5 with powerpoint 2010.
Our QA team is investigating this issue and determined that if a bulleted list contains an apostrophe ('), you may find that the bullet points are missing in the HTML5 version of your published course. This is a known issue. See this article for more information.
I just come up against this issue with my HTML5 output. Neither solution offered in this article worked for my situation. The z-rotation of 0.1 degrees solution did not work for me because it did not allow me to animate in my bullet points. And it's not an option to remove the apostrophes. Not my content to mess with. So I did a universal find and replace of the "Right single quotation mark" (U+2019) and used the vertical apostrophe (U+0027) and this fixed my issue. I hope this helps someone out there.
I'm having the same problem. I've tried retyping and it still doesn't work. There are no apostrophes either. There should be a solution by now. Anyone?
Hello Chris - Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue as well. This thread is a bit dated. Are you utilizing the latest update of Presenter '13, which is now Update 9?
Is the issue happening in a certain environment?
Would you be able to share your Articulate Package for us to take a look?
Hello Chris - I popped in to check on your case this morning and it looks like your details/case has been shared for further investigation. Glad you were able to find a workaround in the meantime.
I have been having this same issue for the past 6 months. It happens with all of my presentations. I can forward you the file. Has there been any resolution to this issue?
Hi Seona, sorry you're running into this! What version of Presenter are you using? Also, does your bulleted text contain special characters or animation by paragraph?
I'm using Articulate Studio 13 and have installed the latest update (9). The error has been occurring for the last 2 updates and not just on my machine but on all the content developer's laptops also. It does seem to occur when the text is animated but I don't think it is solely when there are special characters in the text.
Hi Seona, so sorry this is plaguing you. Do you have a sample published file that shows missing bullets when you haven't used special characters? I've tried recreating that on my end, but I haven't had any luck so far.
Also, we're finding that the bullets are missing in HTML5, but they appear normally in Flash. Have you tried testing the Flash output to see if there's a difference?
Lastly, it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email! No worries, this Peek video will show you how to remove it. :)
The same thing happened to me one year ago and now it is happening again as I update the presentation. I looked at all the threads/articles/work-arounds last year, and couldn't figure it out. (Fortunately the design of the presentation isn't crucial so I just added an extra space between lines on the random slides that would publish without bullets.) I'm not sure if it provides any additional information, but the bullets do appear when I try the Preview. I don't have any apostrophes.
I'm fine if I can't get it to work again, but I will package and send it again in case it helps your crew get to the bottom of it.

Hi Rachel,
I have the same problem here and it seems to be always with the third level bullet. I've already ask for help with this on this thread and I got no answer yet.

Hi Rachel!
I know that we worked with you in a support case before (00412952) and were able to correct the issue. Are you utilizing the same slide master again?

Yes, I updated last week hoping for a fix. It seems to be worse now. I
have almost half of the slides in the presentation missing bullets.
Best,
Chris Lognion
Also, I'm pretty sure that I can share as long as it's not made available to
anyone else.
Best,
Chris

Hi Amy,
Always helps to take a look at more samples! You'll want to create the Presenter package and then upload to our Support Engineers here.
Yep, I did yesterday afternoon. I am case #01104360.
Thanks.
Awesome - thanks Amy and we'll follow along with your case too!
