When we published a recent PowerPoint 2010 presentation, which included Smartart graphics, Presenter changed the bullets from black dots to red scissors. In addition to that, it added pinkish-red square bullets where none had existed. Anyone know how to prevent this from happening during publication?
Thanks for the response. We are not using custom bullets. The problem I am having is that the bullets we used (which are part of powerpoint) were changed to symbols completely unrelated to what we are doing. I need to know how to publish our presentation without any change in bullet appearance (i just want black dots).
Are the bullets in the smartart graphics? Apparently smartart can get altered when it is published. A workaround is to copy and paste the smartart as an image onto a new slide, then hide the original slide for use incase of editing purposes.
Thanks for posting the screenshots. It looks like Blair's suggestion might be the way to go here. Curious to know if you're able to get this looking and functioning the way you hoped. Keep us updated...

Blair,
Thanks. We'll give this a try. Kind of a bummer because smartart is so clean and adds so much to a presentation.
Peter,
Here is what I am referring to. the image with the scissors as bullets is after it has been published.

I remember hearing about this weird scissors bullet showing up before. Here is some more information.

Melanie,
Thanks for sharing. Doesn't look promising for using ppt. 10. I will review your thread again and see what i can come up with.
