Publishing problem....file too large?

Jan 23, 2012

I am having some trouble publishing a 170 page Presenter doc.  At first, I thought maybe a page was corrupt, because publishing alway stopped around page 83. So, I broke the document into two documents and published each half separately.  Both halves publish fine, so I don't think a particular page is the issue.    The size of the entire document is 5,500KB.  The error basically says that Presenter encountered a problem and has to close.  Any ideas?

Hey Ashley!

Just so I'm clear, your project publishes without issue when you break in two, but encounters the error when attempting to publish the whole thing at once? It's possible that there's a memory or hard drive space issue with your machine, but I can't say for sure without trying to publish it myself first. Would you like to send us your files to see if we can reproduce the issue? If so, please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09, which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so I can follow up with you personally in the forums. Thanks!

Thanks for all of the tips!  I tried all of them and for some reason I still could not get the file to complete publication.  I decided to break the file up into 6 smaller files (one for each of the 6 main topics).  Then, we will build a "landing page" in Sharepoint and link to the six lesson off of that landing page.  I wish that I could have figured out the issue, but due to time I have to quite spinning my wheels and move on.  Thanks again!
