Quiz freezing on submit results

Jul 22, 2013

Hello,

We have a problem with a module that the client has uploaded to their LMS (SCORM). The module has a quiz at the end and after completing it, the user is sent to the results screen. However, quite often the module will freeze up before reaching the results screen. (ie. After pressing "View Results") The problem however is intermittent as it sometimes submits successfully.

Some details regarding the issue below:

Operating system: Varies, but either XP / W7.

Internet browser: Internet Explorer 7/8

LMS versions: Totara 2.2.19 - Moodle 2.2.9

We have uploaded the module to SCORM cloud to test and couldn't replicate the issue our end. So might there be something the client has done their end to have caused the issue, or are there any troubleshooting advice someone could recommend? Many thanks for any help you could provide.

Hi Julien,

Thanks for sharing the video as well. I didn't see anything else off that would make the course freeze, but it is odd that you're brought back to that slide and it acts as if you've answered it. Does it appropriately report to your Moodle course at that time as well or only after you click back and then next again to finally see the results slide?

Hi  all

Doing further testing the freeze does not happen or is very short on Safari for PC.

I've upgraded to moodle 3.2.1 today hoping this would solve the issue. Nope!

I also tried a suggestion from Dan (Site administration > Plugins > Activity modules > SCORMfind the setting " Enable SCORM 1.2 standard mode" and untick the box). Did not change anything.

Eloisa, from Articulate, posted our quiz on one of Articulate's moodle installs and it works there.

Opening the "Console" in Chrome, I can see one difference between my quiz on my moodle and my quiz on Articulate's moodle: on mine, two lines are called (and seem to block) that are not called on your moodle:

1) datamodel.php

2) prereqs.php

See print screen attached... I really hope someone can help. Our students complain all the time!

Thanks!

Julien
