Quizmaker Quiz "13 will not import into Presenter "13

Aug 29, 2014

I have a quiz in Quizmaker '13 that I want to import into a video course in Presenter '13. I access Quizmaker from within Presenter > "add existing" > selected course and Open. It looks like the quiz is uploading but the slide is blank. If I choose the option to "edit in Quizmaker" the message is there is no quiz.

I can open the quiz in Quizmaker and preview it without any errors. I can also watch the course in Presenter without error.

Hi Debbie!

When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Presenter '13 courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.

You mention that you can select 'Edit in Quizmaker' from Presenter, does this mean that you can see the placeholder slide?

Would you be able to share your Articulate Package here for me to have a look at?

Because Articulate Presenter 13 now embeds Quizmaker files and stores them locally on the C drive.  When I create projects I have separate folders for quizzes, videos, resources etc.   In Presenter 09 I was able to edit my quizzes directly in Quiamaker and Presenter knew I made changes.  It's horrible in 13 because if I edit quizzes out of Presenter my original quizzes are never touched.  If I edit in Quizmaker, Presenter does not know I made the changes.  Can't tell you how much time I wasted using Presenter 13 and can't wait to get rid of it!

Hi Bob,

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've run into with the set up of Studio '13, but you may want to review the information here in regards to how Quizmaker and Engage interactions are stored in Presenter 13 files.

You're also always welcome to share your thoughts on a different behavior you'd prefer to see by submitting it as a feature request to our product development team here.
