Rapitivity Quiz Placement in Published Articulate Content

Jun 17, 2013

 Hey everyone,

I'm having a problem that I'm hoping I can get some help with on here!

I have created a Rapitivity Quiz that I want to put into an class. The quiz has been published in Raptivity as an .swf file.

After inserting it into the slide it seems fine. In preview mode it appears correctly and all the buttons are functioning. (It's the Analgous Pairs quiz for those familiar with Raptivity)

The problem seems to occur after publishing. It is on the slide and is functioning, however the quiz seems to have dropped down to the bottom right and overhangs the slide - as can be seen in the attached images. Its works fine but the placement is incorrect - I tried republishing, changing the size of of the flash file on the sides by dragging the corners but nothing seems to change it.

I have attached a couple of screenshots.

1. The quiz on the slide ('envelope' symbol)

2. One showing it displaying correctly in Preview mode

3. Showing it skewed of the slide after Publication when it is uploaded to Blackboard.

Anyone have any idea how to remedy this or why it is occuring?

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

I'm not familiar with Raptivity, so I'm not sure if this is a display/presentation issue, or an issue with the interaction itself.

It sounds like it's working fine in preview, but not after publishing or uploading to Blackboard (your LMS), correct?

If you can, please try checking your DPI settings. Articulate Studio '09 is only supported with a system DPI setting of 96. If you're using a DPI setting other than 96, you'll encounter erratic behavior in the desktop applications and the published output. The following list provides some examples of unexpected behavior that you may encounter:

*  Elements of the application appear misplaced or distorted.
*  When previewing, content is distorted.
*  The published output is distorted or doesn't display correctly.
*  Annotations are misplaced.
*  Lengthy slide notes won't scroll when recording narration.
*  Your logo doesn't display correctly.
To resolve these issues, change your system's DPI to 96.
Here's how:
Presenter '09:
I'm not entirely sure that will resolve the issue, since it's not occurring in preview, but it may improve the display of the slide.
If the issue continues, can you tell me what web browser you're using to view the published presentation, please? Have you tried using a different web browser?
Thanks!
