Re-recorded narrations not publishing

Nov 06, 2013

I recently recorded a presentation through presenter, and had to re-record a few slides with content changes.  I recorded and saved those slides, and it played back correctly in the 'record narration' page.  Once I saved, and previewed or published again, it played the old recording.  I know that it saved, because when I go back and hit play in the record narration screen, it plays correctly.  Is anyone else experiencing issues like this?

Hi Kara and welcome to Heroes!

If you find that the audio editor is not importing or saving audio as expected, it's possible that the Articulate Presenter Communicator is not enabled in PowerPoint. Here’s how to ensure it's enabled. (Directions on how to ensure it's enabled in Presenter 13)

Also, be sure that your presentation is located on your local hard drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB (external) drive can cause erratic behavior, including loss of resources.

Hi Kara,

Is this something that is happening within one particular file, or are you able to replicate the issue across multiple Presenter files? It may be something as simple as conducting a repair of Presenter (Directions for Presenter 13 as well). You could also try exporting the audio (Presenter 13 directions) to see if when you import it again, if it's able to play correctly.

Also, if you'd like us to take a look at what's happening, please create Presenter package (Presenter 13) and share with us here or send to us privately here.
