Recording Audio Narration

Mar 05, 2013

Hello! I am new to Articulate Presenter. I have been going through the online tutorials- how to create my first course.

I am at the stage of Recording Audio Narration. As i am going through the tutorials i am working on a similiar PowerPoint i created. When i hit Record-the content of my slide isnt showing only the title. And at the record narration the button has turned into "Next Annimation." And i have to keep clicking it to receive the content in the slide.

I dont get why this is happening because in the tutorial video for recording audio narration all of the slide is displayed and there is no need to click next annimation.

Also I am not able to move to the next slide after I keep clicking "next annimation." I am not able to move to the next slide.

Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Amanda. Welcome to the community!

One thing I'd like to you try, if you can, is to create a new presentation. If you try to record your audio in that presentation, does the same thing happen? If not, it may be an issue with the original file or possibly the location of the files. If it does happen, it may be an issue with the installation or something else on the machine that's interfering with the process.

Please try to make sure that you're working with only local presentation files.

1.  Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.

2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).

3.  Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
