Remote server machine error

Jun 16, 2015

Hello,

I've recorded a ppt in Articulate Presenter 3 times now and every time I attempt to save the recording, I receive the following error message:

Run-time error '462':

The remote server machine does not exist or in unavailable

I've lost the audio many other times but this is the first that I've seen this message.

Please help!

Thanks,

Lynn

Hi Lynn!

When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Presenter '13 courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources, such as audio. See this article for more information.

Am trying to find a solution for this issue as I am getting the same error over and over again this morning. I have restarted my computer several times, am always working on my local C drive, and every time I go to sync my animations this error pops up and PowerPoint shows my course as a recovered file. I am working on a very tight deadline and am hoping you have a solution. If not I will have to consider moving my content into another software, which really isn't an option at this time.
