Remove the logo?

Dec 22, 2010

Can someone help me? My company bought the software a few months ago and I've done a little playing around, but not much. Now it's time to dig in because I have a real course to create. My first question is, how can remove the Articulate logo from the lower left? TIA!

Hi Cindy - welcome to the forums. Trust me, you'll want to hang out here a lot, because there are a ton of helpful people. And yeah, you can remove that logo really easily. Just open up your presentation in PowerPoint, click the Articulate menu, and then Player Templates, then Player Controls. There's a box you'll have to uncheck. I think it says "Display Articulate logo" or something like that. All you gotta do is unmark unmark that and then republish.

Hi Tomas. How are you opening up your playerproperties.xml? When I publish a course to CD and open up playerproperties.xml with Notepad or Wordpad, there is a lot of code. You're not seeing that in your file? Maybe you could post a screenshot of what you see when you open the file in Notepad? In a sample course that I just published, the section is near the top, about the 2nd line

Do you mean this logo, the arrow is pointing too. If is this articulate logo, I am note sure you can remove it except if you want to buy articulate skin. But there is free skin in the community without the logo. Check the link below for the skin without the logo

Hello Zuber, are you wanting to remove the logo from the upper left of the player itself?

If so, you can open your presentation in PowerPoint, go to the Articulate menu, and choose Player Templates > Layout and then unmark the "Logo Panel" checkbox as shown in the screenshot below. When you click Close, you'll be prompted to save your player. Make sure that when you publish your course, you choose that customized player in the Player Template selector on the Publish window.

Also: if you would rather replace the Articulate logo with an image of own (rather than remove the logo panel completely), you can re-enable the logo using the window above, and follow the steps in this tutorial to use a logo of your own.
