Remove video background noise and replace with music?

Jan 16, 2018

Working on a Presenter presentation for work. There is a video with someone hosing down a wall on one slide. The noise connected with the hose down is on the slide. Is there a way to mute that noise and play music instead?

Thanks - still trying to learn

Hello Karen ... I'm assuming that the audio is embedded in the video file. If so, you must strip the audio, just leaving the video portion. Video editing software can easily do this, but if you only have Articulate Replay, you can still make do.

Here's how. First, mute the audio on your computer. Then, set up the video file to play by itself; just double click the source video file, and it will play in whatever media application your computer uses.

Using Replay, record the video. Since your computer is muted, you will capture only the video portion. Publish this, and you'll have a new, silent video file.

Next, select New Project in Replay, and then import the video. Next, choose Sound From File, and import your music audio file. It will show up on Track A after the video; just drag and drop it to Track B.

Publish this, and you'll have your video with music to import into your Presenter project.
