Renamed video files in published folder - how to match them to their original slide?

Aug 03, 2020

I have two very long training projects in which the connection between the original audio & video files is no longer recognized. The hurdle that is the videos have no audio.
I do not have a package folder for the project. What I have is the PPT/Articulate Presenter file, and the folder from when the project was published for the LMS, containing the published content. I see all the video files in there, but they have been automatically renamed from their original name ("slide 22", "slide 47", etc.)  by Presenter to a long string of mixed letters and numbers which appear to be random. My question is, are the video files listed by default in that publish folder in the sequential order in which they appear in the training?

Just an update in case someone else needs this information. By default the files are arranged by name, not sequential order. I sorted the presentation_content folder by file type and copied the 54 video files into a new folder, changing the folder view to Content to display the video length.  I sorted them by Date modified (ascending) and they were in the order of their original appearance within the course. I confirmed it by comparing the video lengths displayed in the course on the slide's video playbar with the length of the video files in Content view folder. The order matched. It's still a tedious process, but at least it allows me to make a checklist to facilitate updating the slides accurately.
