I am building a presentation that has several animations built in. One of the animations is the FLICKER emphasis. I would like the flicker to repeat 8 times. When I publish, it pauses approximately 5 seconds and then flickers twice. Can a repeat be added to flicker? If not, is there a work around?
Hi Kelly, and welcome! Currently, the "repeat" option in PowerPoint animations isn't supported when you publish from Presenter. So you'd need to apply the same animation 8x in PowerPoint in order to see it in the published output.
Thanks Jeanette! Just so I'm on the same page: That would me that I would create eight slides with the flicker animation or repeat by recreating the animation on the same slide?
You can apply the same animation multiple times to the same object on one slide... In the PowerPoint animation timeline, it'll show up as separate animations. So like in the example timeline below, I have one rectangle (called Rectangle 3) and I've applied the same emphasis animation to it four times, one after the other. Hope that helps!
I have done as you've suggested and it appears that I am on the right track. I just need to sync the other animations on the slide to get it to work correctly. With a little tweaking, I should get it where I need it to be.
