Responsive HTML5 player

Oct 24, 2017

Hi there,

I try to figure out what is the best output for an HTML5 presentation and for ANY device. In my opinion, something responsive should be possible but it doesn't seems to be possible. What I have setted looks like this :

  • Browser size : Optimal size
  • Player size : Lock at optimal size
  • Output Slide Size : Scale to 100% of PPT output size

But even there, it seems that it's not enough. When the presentation is seen from a laptop (1440x900), it appear too big in the screen, the player wont fit. What I have to do is put the setting to « scale to 80% of PPT output size » But then, it is a bit too small for big screen...

Is there any way out of that trap ?

Thank you !

Hi Mario,

It sounds like you'd prefer the player to fill the learners screen, is that correct? In that case, you'd want to use Resize browser to fill screen and Scale player to fill browser window. You may still see some empty space above/below or on the right/left sides of the player, but that's because Presenter won't stretch or skew the slide to fit the screen.

And if you're using Presenter 360, the responsive player dynamically adapts to different tablets and smartphones, providing an optimized view of your course on every device—no extra work required.
