Reuse a Presenter 13 Glossary?

Jun 26, 2014

Anyone have any good tips for reusing a glossary over multiple projects?

According to this set of instructions, the only way to reuse a Presenter glossary is to create the glossary before you build out your project and then create a package that you can use to start your next project. Is this true? There is no way to export/import a Presenter glossary?

We are wrapping up a multi-module project and are adding the glossary. Because the Engage glossary currently only publishes on the topbar Left (to be fixed in the next update, date TBD), we are considering using the built-in Presenter glossary which will publish to the topbar Right. We LOVE all the Resources and Glossary together on the right... I know, I know... picky, picky...

Hi Angie,

You're absolutely correct - it's not possible to import a previously created Glossary from one Presenter project to another. The best method is the one that you mentioned in your post.

What I like to do is create a project with just the Glossary and save that for later use. You can then import slides by reusing slides in PowerPoint, or build up from that base file.

Just keep in mind that if you reuse slides in PowerPoint, not all content will be imported. Here's information on how to reuse slides.

I realize that's not exactly what you were after - but hopefully that will save you some time :)

Best,

Christine
