Run Presenter 09 alongside Presenter 13

Apr 24, 2014

Is it possible to run Presenter 09 and Presenter 13 side by side until all the bugs are worked out?  I have issues with Hotspots/Hyperlinks 13 (see previous post) and I have the slides ending before the animations end..  I have 60+ courses to upload and many of them has either or both situations.  The time to go through them to find, change animations, and insert silence is unthinkable.  Would Articulate be kind enough to allow me to run 09 on a separate computer for a couple of months until I get my conversion to a new LMS completed?

As always thank you for your time and am waiting patiently for the next update of Presenter 13.

Hi Ke,

Your '09 serial will still be active, so you can continue to use both versions. The only problem is that you cannot have both Studio '09 and Studio '13 installed at the same time, on the same machine.

You could, however, install '09 on another machine and have '13 on your primary machine or the other way around.

You can run Studio through a virtual machine, but keep in mind that we cannot promise that it will run well, as a virtual machine is not a supported environment.

If you no longer have access to your Studio '09 serial numbers, I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Care team. You can email them directly at biz@articulate.com

I hope this information helps. I do apologize for all the issues and the inconvenience.

Best,

Christine

Certainly! :)

Yes, you'd use your Studio '09 license - this should be the original license that was used, unless you used the earlier version. I believe all of the serials for the products (Presenter, Engage, Quizmaker and the Video Encoder) are sent out in the confirmation email when it's purchased. I realize that may have been quite some time ago, so you'll just want to request your '09 licenses.

If they inquire as to why, just let them know that we're troubleshooting some issues with Studio '13 and you'd like to use the earlier version until they're resolved.

Let me know if I can help with this.

Thanks!
